Introducing our new coaches…..

Phil Gallen – joins the CFQ Team after running a successful PT business from his serious garage gym for the past few years.
A friend in the industry told me “Phil is the best coach not currently at an affiliate” so we jumped at the chance to get him on board.

We asked Phil a few questions to get to know him –
Why did you start coaching?
AS a PT I found myself moving towards the Crossfit methodology as this improved my all round performance and my clients also.
What did you do before this?
1 on 1 and small group training as a PT and in the I.T industry prior to becoming a PT.
What are your big CrossFit goals?
To continually improve my own personal fitness and inspire others to do the same.
Favourite CrossFit movement?
Overhead Squats & Lunges, hand stand walks (Note: Phil currently has a 110kg OHS and can handstand walk over 50m)
Least Favourite movement?
Pull-ups, for now!
Proudest CrossFit achievement?
Placing 13th in my first individual comp at Riverside Jam
Why are you looking forward to coaching at CFQ?
Being surrounded by like minded people and looking forward to helping members achieve any goals they’ve set themselves.
Any other interesting facts about you?
Originally from London, moved out to Perth in 04’ big QPR fan!

You will notice Phil around the gym more regularly over the next few weeks as he starts to shadow coaches, participate in classes and starts coaching under supervision before being unleashed on you guys in mid-late June.
